Chesapeake Bay Initiative
Chesapeake Bay Initiative
The Chesapeake Bay Initiative works to reduce pollution in local streams and the Chesapeake Bay, improve water quality, and protect and restore aquatic habitats.
West Virginia’s portion of the Chesapeake Bay watershed includes eight counties, each contributing to efforts to reduce pollution and protect the health of local waterways and the Bay.
For more information about the initiative, including its goals and requirements, view the Chesapeake Bay Initiative Overview.
