The Office of Planning and Zoning maintains information on solar energy facility projects that have received approvals from the Jefferson County Planning Commission and/or Board of Zoning Appeals. The table below provides the status of required approvals and the next steps for each project.
A map is also available showing the locations of approved solar projects in Jefferson County.

Public Research Map
The Public Research Portal includes an interactive GIS map with parcel information and zoning district data. Users can turn on the solar facilities layer to view locations of approved solar projects throughout the County. A How-To Guide is also available to help users navigate the Public Research Map.
